To commemorate the “Robert Doisneau” exhibition, this special collaboration item is based on SAINT JAMES’s iconic NAVAL model, featuring one of Doisneau’s memorable quotes rendered as a graphic.
The piece was inspired by the iconic portrait of Pablo Picasso photographed by Doisneau, in which Picasso is seen wearing a SAINT JAMES NAVAL T-shirt.
First created in 1889, SAINT JAMES has been producing the NAVAL for over 130 years. Originally designed as part of the uniform for sailors in the French Navy, the NAVAL differs from the brand’s other classic model, the OUESSANT, in that it uses a finer yarn. This results in a slightly lighter fabric with excellent moisture absorption, offering a comfortable feel that becomes softer and more familiar against the skin with repeated washing.
